Recently I purchased a set of your UL4 pads. I'm just writing to thank the staff that took care of me that day. I have never had a better experience buying goalie pads. Your staff was curteous and helped me make a decision on which pad to buy. Consider me a lifetime consumer! Great Job.

Hi Mark,
I just wanted to let you know that I love my equipment. I recently purchased the 993 pads, gloves, M3 C&A, Matrix cup, and JWD mask. I have been able to take my game to a whole new level (even at 42!). Last night stopped 59 out of 62. I've been able to maneuver, balance and get into positions that I could only dream of before. I'm also facing shots with no fear. I only have gotten one stinger on the palm of my hand near the wrist this season.
Thanks for listening to my woes and addressing all of my concerns. You guys make great equipment. Let me know when you come out with pants
Joe

Hello I am a current user of the Simmons 993 goalie pad and I also use the glove and blocker, I am sixteen years old and I play midget AAA and I also play AAA varsity hockey at my high school. This year my team finished first place and we won 2 tournaments, one in Detroit with a 2-1 overtime victory and the other a 2-0 win in the finals. Through out the regular season and play offs including 5 tournaments I held a 1.9 G.A.A with a save % of 93.1with 2 championships and 2silver medals and i do have my equipments performance and quality to thank for that. Over the past two years I have worn the Vaughn Velocity as well as the RBK premier series pads but neither of those can compare to the 993 gear I wore this year. When I first the got the pads I wore them for 35 minutes on a Thursday night than played in a tournament on the Friday. There was no break in period at all and the from the first day I put the pads on until 8 months later of being on the ice 10 times a week the way the pad felt and closed up while sitting perfectly flat on the ice was the same. After wearing the pad for over 10 months now I am still very comfortable with what I have to guard the net and also after wearing many brand name products and it being an important time of my hockey career I have found the brand and product that I will stick with for a very long time.

Dear Simmons Sports, I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the custom sheerwood sticks I recieved. As you may recall I ordered a Brathwaite model in my school's black and gold colors. The first batch of sticks that arrived at your store were much smaller than I had requested and red. However despite the factory mistake or whatver it may be I would like to thank you for the gratitude you showed both myself and my father throughout the entire process. I love the sticks they are better than I imagined. I look forward to doing more business with you guys. Thanks Sincerly, Stephen DiDomenico

My son recently attended the John Elkins goalie school in Toronto this summer and had a great time, however we had one problem within the first 2 days our Mission pads had completely worn through at both the knee and inner thigh board. With in a few days more the entire inner liner of the pads began to fail from the extreme use and terrible ice conditions. well during our first weekend off we drove to your showroom to look around and we ended up buying a complete set of ultralight 3 pads along with a new glove and a low profile blocker. Well it turned out to be a great investment and my son Nick Amato made the Squirt major travel team for the FLorida Junior Panthers. Then another boy who was considering Vaughns decided to buy the ultralights 2 after taking a look and fooling around with Nicks gear. He is on the Pee Wee AA team and both of these young goalies travel around the country playing good hockey wearing Simmons gear. I have taken a photo of them all geared up and! would love to send it to you via email. I would also like to ask a favor because we are in Florida we catch lots of flack about the sunshine state and there is no hockey down here. However our teams have won in many tournaments around the country and it seems that Simmons gear is on lots of the Southern goalies. If you could even if just for a week put the photo up just to show that where ever hockey is played great gear is needed. THis would be fun and I am sure it would probably evoke some fun emails. Thank you for your time and consideration, Sincerely Nick's dad Ralph Amato

Just wanted to thank-you with all sincerity. i had a goalie's nightmare of an injury, i tore my ACL and MCL in 2003, took two years to heal, thought playing goal was over. Researched hard, got 993's after trying on every pad made, every store between Toronto, London, Hamilton and Fort Erie. Came in to your store on a saturday, knee brace and all must have looked crazy, tried the 993's last summer got on the waiting list, got them just before men's league (I played junior B, University and senior A but that level is over) after fiddling with strap tightness and a longer pad i found that a loose toe strap eliminates torque on my knee. Long shorty of it i took for granted playing hockey, couldn't imagine becoming one of those "yeah i use to play goal but playing out is more fun" which is BS. the 993's but more importantly the patience and knowledge of your staff ( the kid with the Fleury 993's) gave the game back to me. I am playing two to three time a week, all be it in a men's league here in Burlington but to me it could matter less the level, I still have to stop the puck. So from somebody that needs to play sports to keep himself from making everyone around him miserable, I thank you as you have a customer for life, as well as an advocate to any goalie who'll! listen.

When two of my boys were in playing high school hockey between 1997 and 2002, I purchased Simmons goalie equipment for them. The quality of the Simmons line was excelent and the prices were low, especially for the blue collar guy who was buying goalie equipment for two sons. One of my boys was scouted by a few colleges, but decided to go with baseball. More importantly, because I had done business with Simmons during the years that my boys were in high school, I developed great communication with Don Simmons' sons who ran the business. I had the occasion to tell them that the oldest of my three sons was a paraplegic. I didn't ask them for anything special, but they told me that they would send me something special for my oldest boy. On two separate occasions they sent autographed goalie sticks to my boy and Simmons T-shirts. The sticks were autographed by Martin Brodeur and Ron Hextall. I don't know if you want to put that info out for fear that everybody in the world ! will try and put you out for autographed sticks, so you have my permission to edit this letter anyway you want, but I think that the generosity you showed to my family was wonderful and I wish I had written this letter sooner. From the bottom of my heart, thankyou....

After wearing a set of DR Quantums for the last 12 years, I figured I was ready for a new set of pads. I didn't want to spend in excess of $1,500 for top of the line pads, but I wanted something I would like for a while. Since I'm 42, I'm guessing these may be my last set I buy. I shopped online for a month, coming often to your site. I had never heard of Simmons (only the goalie) and I was unsure of the product. But, after reading about how the pads were put together and seeing the excellent photos and video demonstrations, and then the price, I thought I'd take a chance on the 992 06's. When they arrived (right on time), I was shocked by the quality. I would rank these up with most of the pads I tried on, including Vaughn Epics and TPS pads costing three times as much. The pads fit perfectly and they did me well first game out. They'll take a while to break in, but that's half the fun. My only recommendation is that you establish a western shop to handle warranty work (not that they need any). It would be the only deterrent in an otherwise painless shopping experience. Now I just need the matching gloves!

Attached is a picture of Dusty Buchanan (my son). He is a freshman in high school and plays varsity for the Cedar Rapids Mustangs in the Midwest High School Hockey League. Dusty is a hybrid style goal tender and the matrix 2 pads seem to work well for him.
I thought you might like to see this picture since it shows your pads, catcher and blocker so well. He loves his Simmons gear including the chest protector. As a father I depend on your gear to keep him safe, as a goaltender he depends on your gear to do the job for him. I must say that gear surpasses all of our expectations.
Thank you.
